Uranus in Gemini... coming soon

Along with writing about the big movements in the sky during this pivotal time, it’s valuable to highlight the people touched by these transits directly. I will write more about major movers in the news, but first, a deep dive as to the “why’s”.
With Social Security as a hot topic, I’ve gone down the history worm hole (as long as some of these things are researchable).
Uranus approaches the sign of Gemini (the planet of sudden change and revolution will be in the sign of communications/fundamental education) it’s in the realm of possibility that libraries and research tools may evaporate. The insidious erosion through book banning, vilifying academics and demonizing anyone “different” has created a reactionary United States. The people who point with fury at the “left” parrot witch-burning Puritans.
As a kid, I found Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451 (science fiction) particularly compelling (or I suggest the Truffaut film with Julie Christie in a dual role). But as a mother, I read The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak, which my daughter had to read for school. The latter seemed to suggest that past was behind us, but Bradbury’s book has a timelessness that still screams a cautionary tale for those who choose to listen.
…. and as an aside, because language is subtle — why does “left” mean those who want diversity, equality and social services? “Left” has historic negativity… children were forced to write with their right hands; our tools are mass-produced for right-handed people. The lore has been that the left side is the devil’s territory, which continues to trigger those with fundamentalist Christian attachments. On the other hand, “far right” indicates the deep conservative and restrictive policies… again, from a language perspective, what makes them “right”? Does right = “just”, correct, as it should be?
Because Pluto is now in Aquarius (2023-2044), it’s valuable to look at when Pluto has been in the sign of freedom in the past, last time 1777-1798 during both the American and French revolutions. As Pluto moves through a sign it demands irrevocable transformation in that area of life. The French royalty/government helped the colonists monetarily with their revolution, because of their rivalry with England. Yet once the French lower classes revolted against the aristocracy, the fledgling USA kept neutral. Mais oui!
After their bloody revolution, the French Parliament was formed and the right seats were for the nobility (those that survived) as well as religious leaders of high rank. The commoners and less powerful clergy sat on the left. In short time, the right side (reactionary) were known to hold pro-aristocracy, extreme conservative views and an opposition to social change. The left (radical) side favored support for a robust middle-class and drastic political, economic, social reforms. Once the English language adopted this interpretation of the French for “right” and “left” political orientation, it eventually found its way into American verbiage.
With Uranus coming into Gemini as of July 2025, it’s valuable to consider how language can be used and manipulated. Did the French religious leaders sit on the “right” on purpose after the revolution? Mais oui!
Now that Pluto is again in Aquarius, can we reevaluate the profound transformations that took place in the past for both the French and the fledgling USA? Keep in mind, France had been a country for quite some time before its revolution; the ideal is with every shapeshift, there is evolutionary growth.
The USA birthed out of the ashes at the last pass of Pluto in Aquarius, so by the timeframe of every other “successful” government on the planet, the present pass is when the USA goes through its HUGE evolution. So what will it become? A monarchy, which harkens to past models, (that would be Trump’s plan and for his children succeed him).
But wait! Elon Musk is behind the curtain and whispers in the ear of the despot — but Musk has his own growing progeny and designs for an empire (we will inspect their charts later)… and we must take a quick glimpse at Vivian Wilson, the brave estranged daughter of Elon Musk. Kudos for her courage and rejecting the seduction of his wealth… fabulosa!
We see the Trump administration erases data it considers “divisive” or “negative”. For too long, “news” sources have become consumer-driven and therefor select what they publish based on to please (or to manipulate their audience). Sadly, those that used to be known for impartiality have joined that camp or have become fearful of retribution for what they print.
Twitter (Elon Musk) and Facebook (Mark Zuckerberg) banded together for “free speech” but continue to shut down any criticism they deem unsupportive of their goals.
It has become a challenge to seek a rounded perspective in news and social media, which many people either don’t have time or the interest to do.
The toxic reality of having a democracy that emphasizes capitalism has been that the financial system now devours the governing body. Capitalism is not intrinsically bad but like any system, it requires checks and balances. However in 2010 as Pluto in Capricorn tested the viability of institutionsm, corporations decided to seek judicial carte blanche. Due to their empowerment through Citizens United with the blessing of the Supreme Court, corporations have demonized regulations and safety measures for the populace AND pump large sums of money into elections, which determines the politicians who “owe” them.
Profit has become the determining factor of how the United States is run, but that makes individual freedom collateral damage. The irony here is that the US government runs on a LARGE debt; it continually borrows from other countries (ie. Japan and China), US investors (your IRA or 401K) AND Social Security (which to date, has run on a surplus).
Back to Social Security… it was inevitable that when Baby Boomers retired en masse that the Fund would require more payouts (Ponzi scheme revealed, but NOT because of what Musk suggested). Depending on what you read, The Heritage Fund claims that Social Security is paid out of Trust Fund IOUs, as though no $ from Social Security was contributed — total BS. The reality is that Social Security invests solely in those slush Treasury Funds, which are used for funding things other than Social Security. The logic of FDR onward has been that the US government was a fiscally stable investment that would never default on their loans. Ha! We are in a New Reality… alternate facts???
Because the historic reality is that IF the United States decided to go bankrupt, then they could not pay back foreign investors NOR the Social Security Fund. This is the real Ponzi scheme that Elon Musk floated.
At present, the fiscal stability of Social Security and Treasury Bonds can be found on the Social Security website (but this information can be wiped out by one of the present government’s oversight team). I am not indulging in conspiracy speculation; I am simply observing what can occur with Pluto in Aquarius and Uranus in Gemini.
There is value in taking screenshots of any data you want to preserve, including all your personal medical and financial data… and back it up! A good Mercury + Venus Retrograde practice ;-)
All of this seemed so tenuous when Pluto was in Capricorn, but the status quo has not only resisted the inevitable dismantling of the old regime, it has dug in deeper with a more authoritarian frame…. so, anticipate a MAJOR upheaval.
Think about it, not only do we have this time of transformative reimagining, BUT it is the 2nd millennium. The ideal is that the 1 millennium shifts into the energetic 2. We cannot exist any longer as ONE authority voice tells the masses what to do. The 2 millennium is about cooperation, collaboration; Pluto in Aquarius pushes us to get with the program or risk our collective peril.
With Pluto now in Aquarius, the rubber hits the road as governments and economies decide what fiscal models they will use.
As I write this, President Trump has put out to corporate donors the opportunity to brand their products at the annual Easter Egg Hunt at the White House. This has never been a government funded event, but the added commercial branding of the White House to product is unprecedented. It further emphasizes the antiquated financial strategy of capitalism, which has a scarcity signature…. The less available a commodity, the higher the price. It does seem a bit tone deaf since the price of eggs (which has only increased) was a rationale to vote for Trump.
Capitalism has emphasized that life activities are transactional. Pluto in Capricorn (which began in 2008 when the bubble burst at the mortgage crisis), provided us with the knowledge to see where the capitalistic fervor that granted corporate citizenship had taken democracy. Yet instead of moving towards a more sustainable economy (which is what Pluto in Aquarius suggests) we seem to hold on to the old frame.
As I wrote about Neptune in Aries, a positive response to this time of aggression and suppression is to activate within each of us, the creative and spiritual warrior. The stunning disavowal of responsibility by Cabinet leaders and manipulation of facts continues to shake the integrity of the United States.
The last time the US experienced Neptune in Aries and Uranus in Gemini was the Civil War. Now those two planets will have the complement of Pluto in Aquarius; the sobering reality is the US must revisit the unfinished business of that time. Can the country create an evolutionary transformation or will it decimate the promise of its inception?
I suspect that somewhere around the July 4, 2025 celebrations in the US, the inevitability of backlash from Gaia will occur. In mythology, Uranus was the Sky god and his mate was Gaia, the Earth. When Uranus shifts into Gemini (July 2025), we can expect an upset. The present leadership of the US (which is not alone in this hubris) continues to act as though planets are not living entities. Choices to eliminate agencies that fund scientific studies, track hurricanes and educate our youth show that the US administration’s position is that the biosphere bends at the will for human desire. Yet the reality is that humans are part of nature… if our biosphere is unhealthy, then so too will we be.
